Acne and Pigmentation Treatment

Acne and Pigmentation Treatment

Not all acne is created the same, and acne may be hereditary or caused by a variety of reasons including: hormones, stress, and cosmetics. With our Personalized Skin Analysis, you receive treatments that best suit you.

Derma Pod technology uses the Purelight treatment program. This treatment program delivers an acne fighting wavelength that has anti-bacterial properties used to clear blemishes while calming and soothing sebaceous glands to help prevent future break-outs.

The Soli-Tone 2500 uses “cell specific” wavelengths with anti-bacterial and repairing properties. The LightPod Neo, a high-power medical aesthetic laser, may also be used to treat acne as well as ingrown hairs (see images below).

Types of acne include: whitehead, blackhead, papule, pustule, nodules and acne conglobata. Whiteheads are plugged pores that stay below the surface of the skin and looks like small whitish bumps. Blackheads are plugged pores that pushed through the skin and are dark in color due the buildup of melanin. Papules, which are small pink bumps, occur when the pore becomes inflamed and tender. Pustules are red at the base and yellowish or whitish in the center. Pustules are generally caused by chemical irritation and do not contain a great deal of bacteria. Nodules or cysts are large and painful pus-filled lesions. Acne conglobata appears on the back, buttocks and chest and is a rare form of inflammatory acne.
