Permanent Makeup

Nouveau Contour’s first fully computerized, digital machine delivers precise enhancement through permanent makeup, a method that deposits hypoallergenic mineral pigments into the dermal layer of the skin.

Uses of Permanent Makeup
Permanent makeup may be used for a variety of reasons like to boost self-esteem, save time, and simply as a personal freedom. Permanent makeup may also be used for scar camouflage; if for example one has a scar on the lips, it can be covered with permanent lipstick. Alopecia or hair loss may also accompany scarring; permanent cosmetics can easily fill in a gap in the eyebrow or any other area of concern.

Allergies to cosmetics present the inconvenience of trial and error every time a new lipstick, eyeliner, etc. is purchased. With hypoallergenic mineral pigments, you can look great everyday worry-free.

Have you ever spent an extraordinary amount of time to get your eyeliner just right or walked out of your home only to see the makeup is crooked or off somehow and then realize the culprit is unsteady hands? Well, permanent cosmetics are a perfect solution.

Permanent cosmetics may be used for areola restoration as well as before and after chemotherapy. For areola pigmentation, a medical setting helps penetrate the dense skin structure and efficiently deposit pigment. The areolas can be restored, gradually fading outwardly for a natural look.

Permanent cosmetics has been used and endorsed as non-surgical alternatives by Plastic and Cosmetic Surgeons, Ophthalmologists and Dermatologists.

Pain, Recovery & Safety
A topical anesthetic is applied beforehand and during each procedure, if needed. Everyone is different. Some clients feel vibrating or scratching, and some will feel nothing at all. Most are able to return to normal daily activities right away while others may experience slight swelling or bruising. There are different settings for eyes, which are thin and supple, and areola restoration, where the skin is denser, in order to minimize discomfort and improve efficiency.

Technicians must follow strict hygiene and sterilization procedures that conform to Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA) and Centers for Disease Control (CDC) guidelines.

Other Concerns Answered
Permanent makeup does not mean a permanent loss of color variety. Normal makeup may be applied over the permanent makeup, while (even without other makeup) the permanent makeup ensures that natural facial features will be enhanced. As far as touch-ups are concerned, some clients need to be touched-up within 2-6 years, but everyone is different. The results will depend on age, skin tone, the exfoliation process, over exposure to the sun, body chemistry and the degree of care taken to maintain the procedure.

Colors
There is a right color for everyone. Your natural skin color, hair color and eye color are taken into consideration. Together with our technicians, you will be able to choose the proper color. A soft, natural color is always preferred.

With a specially developed compression technique, greater color intensity is achieved and ideal pigmentation is guaranteed. Plus, thanks to the great variety of color (see Brows example) everyone can find the ideal color whether it be for areolas, eyes, brows and/or lips. Different uses also have different color schemes.
